Who would not know one of the top attractions on Route 66, Cadillac Ranch in Texas. Ten luxury car stuck his nose in a country with fins pointing diagonally to the sky. The Mother Road - Route 66 is about 2 miles from the city of Amarillo, Texas, and the whole exhibition is clearly visible from the Mother Road - Route 66 as well as the road of Interstate 40.
When you are so called "face to face" of this outdoor exhibition of modern art, you can say: "Damn, why someone took ten Cadillacs and jab them his nose to the Earth?". Personally, I would say that whoever invented it, did not know what to do... What he wanted, fucking attention? No offense, but... It can be presented formally to agree with the intention that the exposure was taken as a reminder of the "Golden Age" of the car business in the United States. Big and strong cars do not feel reckless and fuel consumption and environmental impact and control. Beautiful, groovy and pompous American dream, which soon fell apart. This is not fucking say that I dont want to have this "pussy wagon"... want a lot! I majestically on the street waving fins and slowly sliding down the strip with the bored and lazy Cats lie on spacious and comfortable seats, lustfully see after passers-by, while their nipples pushing out two numbers zo minor singlets... Wow.
Cadillac Ranch was once in their history moved, well in August 1997, thus 23 years after its creation. Cadillac Ranch has been moved about 2 miles west of Amarillo. The reason for that was growing city of Amarillo, but by Amarillo Globe-News Newspapers, which realized interview with Stanley March 3 was the other reason. Stanley was afraid of the Cadillacs intervance in the Tri-County Fair square-dance competition...
Cadillac Ranch was the inspiration for many artists who have used this original attraction in their works, both music and television. For example, all I named Bruce Springsteen, who in 1980 released the album "The River", which was just a song called Cadillac Ranch. Cadillac Ranch was the inspiration for the song of the same name, which was established in 1979 after just enjoying meeting.
Well, there she sits buddy justa gleaming in the sun
There to greet a working man when his day is done
I'm gonna pack my pa and I'm gonna pack my aunt
I'm gonna take them down to the Cadillac Ranch
Eldorado fins, whitewalls and skirts
Rides just like a little bit of heaven here on earth
Well buddy when I die throw my body in the back
And drive me to the junkyard in my Cadillac
Cadillac, Cadillac
Long and dark, shiny and black
Open up your engines let 'em roar
Tearing up the highway like a big old dinosaur
If you decide to ride the Mother Road - Route 66, definitely recommend it to confront their views directly over the monument or attraction, however, it would seem that this might be a cliche. Unfortunately there is no longer possible to leave your link through spryed message, which identifies the table at the entrance to the plot, but at least you can make your own photo with prefer Cadillac. So I did it myself. Well, Bob "Crocodile" Lile joined to me. He is the President of Texas Association of Route 66.
If you want, send me your photo in the background with the Cadillac Ranch, I will insert it to the gallery.
