Harley-Davidson Motor Company is a kind of United States old family silver hysterical protected by US government. Someone claim to Harley-Davidson is a product of American culture. Others say that Harley-Davidson motorcycle ownership and everything what H-D presents is specific life style, mentality or uniqueness feeling of the best motorcycle in the world ownership! Shit on it, so I will tell you something: "Harley-Davidson represents, from my point of view, a bunch consist of prune dude, who can not say hello, even to respect other motorcyclists! If those people are representatives of Harley-Davidson values, then it is piece of worthless shit for me! ". Hey, do not change people with motorcycle! Motorcycle can not for its owners and it is mainly expression of Czech smallness! What the fuck, I want Harley of course! That is way, I tryout and drove it on my Mother Road - Route 66 trip! Harley-Davidson stands proof!

My visit of biggest Harley-Davidson Museum

Largest, most luxurious, most comprehensive, most pompous, flashest and most spectacular museum, where I ever was! That is Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI. Museum was opened in 2008 and occupies 12 000 square meters. There you can find more than 450 motorcycles in regular depositary, each of which shines as dog nuts and maybe they are in better condition, when they originally left factory. The other things you can find there are accessories, fittings or crap linked with H-D cult. How many people, do you think, visit the museum annually? Right! Tatatatatatata... over 300 000 visitors!

Harley-Davidson Museum visit should be part of every Mother Road - Route 66 road trip. I am persuaded that if you want get to know Yanks lifestyle, so firstly you need get to know the vehicle to enable them! Mother Road - Route 66 represents bikers road at first, you must see symbolism of motorcycle! You will comprehend the original reason in the museum in case of American motorcycle construction and you will see their evolution and development there. You get the answer why H-D guys produces specific machine! If you do not understand, so go to hell and not tell anybody you drove Mother Road - Route 66!

That is clear in my case! I wanted to see my motorcycle dream! I want to see genuine Captain America, motorcycle by Peter Fonda and Billy Bike, motorcycle by Dennis Hopper! And there really are! Although replicas, but good! There is large LCD on the walls, where plays Easy Rider whole day. This movie was changed by the other US movies, where you can see Harley-Davidson motorcycle in lead role e.g. Pulp Fiction. In that movie scene, which H-D Wide Glide plays a lead role, Buce Willis sits on it and talked with Maria de Medeiros, that stupid dialogue: "What is this? This is motorcycle baby. Who is the motorcycle? Zeds. Who is Zed? Zed is death baby, Zed is death... VRUUUUUUM".

To oblique by me is not too difficult, because I like all bikes, Harley-Davidson included. There are all of types, which Harley-Davidson produced ever. There's a wall, where hanging on first single-cylinder engine from 1903, also Twin Cam from 2008. I also liked the disassembled Road King exposition, which is directly opposite the engines wall. When you look on this motorcycle from the entrance view, so you think you can see composed motorcycle, but that is fault! Motorcycle is decomposed. All of components are anchored by thin stylus, so you see a composed motorcycle at this side. From the beck or front view or diagonally you can see the separated components, engine, frame, seat, wheels, and forks, handlebars... stated itself.

What intrigued me even more, it was a lot, the impressive exposure of border track motorcycle. That is my favorite period, because it was a time when H-D competed with Indianrather number one motorcycle business position in the USA. Indian was better overall, but government contracts, especially in economic crisis period or support by US army, helped Harley-Davidson survive, unlike Indian company, Springfieldu, MA. The other important reason, which helped Harley-Davidson Motor Company survive, was family company ownership from the beginning. All of family members usually participated in the strategy or motorcycles development! They all like motorcycles very much! The difference is that Indian company ownership consists always of businessman, who never feels anything to motorcycling. May be that is way Indian must declare bankrupt in 1953. It is a pity!! Professional riders used Indian motorcycle, when go to "death race" instead of Harley-Davidson. Back to Harleys! You must be butch to drive motorcycle without brakes along oil-soaked wooden race track 200 km per hour speed! The decelerated by boots heels, bolt up and engines!

There is Showcase contains many tanks used different logotype and colors is beautiful! Harley-Davidson logotype and company name originally proposed Aunt Janet Davidson. Logo is used in unchanged appearance since 1925. I chose couple of tanks I really like, well you can see them in photo gallery. The others you have to photograph yourself!

Since Mother Road - Route 66 beginning or ends is only 110 miles. I am persuaded you must see complete history of "Ghost Road" symbolism. Reserve enough time to visit Harley-Davidson Museum, a whole day trip and invest US$ 16 to your Motorcycle education! If you are HOG member, you will have cheaper entrance fee!
